Run for the Wall
Run For The Wall Riders will be in East Texas on May 19th
America’s Veterans will again be riding motorcycles across the United States in
the 34th annual Run For The Wall, which is the world’s largest and longest
organized cross-country motorcycle run of its kind. Over 1000 riders will depart
from Ontario, California, and will be taking three separate routes
across the nation, to Washington D.C.
Nearly 400 riders on the Southern Route will ride through East Texas on Sunday,
May 19th. About sixteen of those will visit CAMPV in Tyler to tour the facility
and meet with local veterans. Afterward, they will rejoin the main body of riders
for lunch at the Longview Fairgrounds.
Run For The Wall’s mission is to promote healing among all veterans and their
families and friends, to call for an accounting of all Prisoners of War and those
Missing in Action, to honor the memory of those Killed in Action from all wars,
and to support military personnel all over the world.
CampV invites everyone interested to come out and meet this wonderful group of riders at 9 a.m. at CampV on Sunday, May 19th.
