Jim Alessi
Jim is a Volunteer with CampV
Jim Alessi was born in Washington, D.C. I spent my childhood in Pennsylvania and my high school and college years in Michigan. After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1979, I moved to California where I worked for the California Department of Transportation as a Design Engineer, Traffic Engineer, and a civilian Collision Investigator with the California Highway Patrol. After retirement from state service, I moved to Tyler, Texas in August of 2019. In November of 2020, I started volunteering with CampV in response to the trauma my son experienced during his time as an infantryman in the United Sates Army. I saw the difficulty he experienced navigating the turbulent waters of the various veteran organizations. CampV is an excellent concept that brings all of these organizations under one roof in the East Texas Area.
